PETER STONE BIOGRAPHY

Since early childhood, Peter was exposed to weekly movie screenings with his father which by the time he was 18 amounted to well over 500 films, each with their own unique and individual musical style. This together with Peter's own natural attraction to music and musical / visual acuity was the basis for Peter's genesis to create in the music and sound design field.

The most memorable scores Peter would remember were those that utilized an element of composition and sound which he personally felt most natural with composing himself: Empathetic scores. It was one thing to capture an audience, even take it's breath away with bombastic dynamics, but nothing compared to a score that could pull from a deeper, more personal place and consequently also treat the listener to deeply emotional sensations. It would be these composers and musicians that Peter would find most effective such as: Tangerine Dream, Brian Eno, Dario Agento / Goblin, Wendy Carlos, Kraftwerk, Jerry Goldsmith, Basil Poledouris, John Carpenter, Geogio Moroder and Barry De Vorzon just to name a few.

By 21 Peter had released his first work entitled "Music For The Harmonic Convergence" composed entirely on a PPG Wave 2.3 and Waveterm-A. Several years later his work, like his studio would warp and morph into many different projects including:

  • Over 10 commercial musical CD releases plus various remix projects
  • Music & Sound Design for over 20 Multimedia CD & Game Cartridge releases
  • Assisting sound designer for MTV's Aeon Flux
  • Multimedia engineer for Lollapalooza III's The CyberPit
  • Creator of one of the first major underground music sites on the Internet called The CyberDen
  • Promoting & DJing the largest gothic/industrial nightclub in the nation (House of Usher)
  • Hired audio director for a major internet corporation who's clients included Britney Spears,
         NBC, Warner Brothers, KROQ FM, Cisco Systems and many others.
  • Gaming Center & Nightclub Designer.



     CURRENT SUMMARY OF EXPERIENCE

  • 25+ Years in the music industy: Record label operations, Publishing, Touring, Club Manager,
         Booking, DJing, Live Sound, Lighting, Advertising, Venue Operations.
  • 25+ Years as lead music and sound designer for video games, rich media and films.
  • 25+ Years owner/operater of CYBERDEN.COM which was once the largest underground record
         label home for such labels as Astralwerks, Cleopatra, 21st Circuitry, COP International and      many more. CYBERDEN.COM was featured in various magazines such as BILLBOARD, ROLLING      STONE, WIRED, ALTERNATIVE PRESS and many more.
  • 13+ Years as 6502 assembler programmer, web programming, perl scripting, CDML,
         Filemaker Pro programmer, Basic Programmer.
  • 15+ Years graphic design for web & print. Photoshop, Coreldraw, etc.
  • 25+ Years IT Technical work. Builds / Repairs / Networking / Hardware & Software upgrades.
